I m loving spending some extra time with my family over the holidays so apologies my blog is being neglected at the moment. Nova Pen Review

I was sent these pens to test and review from Trimcraft. They are the new Nova Design Markers (Alcohol Ink) Pens.
I have used most brands over the years but my go to pens are normally Copics so I was keen to try these new pens. I am actually pretty impressed! I was sent the Pastel Set with 6 different colours. I can't comment on how they blend as such as there isn't colours from the same family. I used Memento Ink and my usual colouring card. The ink didn't bleed at all and was very easy to control within with the stamped lines. The ink came out really smoothly. The photo above shows the Copics at the top and the Nova Pens at the bottom. I did a one layer colour and they coverage was amazing, a nice block colour first time. I went around the centre on the green flower as and you can see you can build up a darker layer with just one pen - a great bonus! All the pens are two ends a fine bullet top and a wide broad end. I like that the pens have a grey line at the top of the pen with the fine end so you know which one is which far more easily. They are lovely to hold in your hand which makes it easier especially if you are using them for a long time.  These are fantastic if you are new to colouring and are wanting to try out alcohol pens without having to spend loads on a pack. All in all I would definitely recommend these pens and I would really love to try other packs with the same colour families so I can try out the blending colours. Well done Trimcraft another fab quality affordable product!

Hello

Hi all,
Today I am sharing a card using some of the new release MFT Stamps. As I made my female teacher card the other day I thought I should make the male version too. I always struggle with cards for men so I kept it quite simple...
For this card I used the fabulous MFT Stamps Favorite Teacher. I coloured the stamped images with Copics and cut them out. I blended some green Distress Ink onto the background. I then created a patterned background by stamping the accessories multiple times. I die cut a piece of notepad paper and some hexgons and glued them in place. I added the MFT Hello Die and some Nuvo Drops to finish.

Supplies;
MFT Stamps - Favorite Teacher
MFT Dies - Small Hello
Sugarpea Designs Die - Hexagons
Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn
Coloured Card
Copic Pens
Nuvo Drops

My Future Awaits

Hi all,
Today I am sharing a quick card that I made using the Disney Little Mermaid Collection from Create & Craft. I am loving they are doing smaller Disney Kits, certainly more affordable compared to recent years. I love the sketchy look of this one, it's a little different and I LOVE it!
For this card I used The Little Mermaid Paper Kit for the main topper and backing papers. I added a little glitter glue to her tail. I used the Flounder and Accessories Dies & Colourful Creations Pad and added them onto the topper. I tied some twine and added it across the front. I threaded some twine through some natural coloured buttons and added them to the side.

Supplies;
The Little Mermaid - Paper Kit, Dies & Colourful Creations Pad
Stickles Glitter Glue
Natural Buttons
Kraft Card
Twine

Best Teacher

Hi all,
I have been playing with some of the new MFT September Releases, I am loving the job stamps they are making at the moment. I tend to colour in a ton of images first then put them together so this one came together pretty quickly...
So for this one I used the MFT Stamps Lessons in Love which I coloured in with my Copics. I used the sentiment from the Favorite Teacher Stamp Set and heat embossed it in white. I created the backgrond using the MFT English Brick Stencil with some Tea Dye and Walnut Brown Distress Ink. I created the grey floor by blending some Memento London Fog Grey Ink. I made a desk shape out of my brown and light kraft card. I scored some lines onto the dark brown although it doesn't show up very well.

I would also like to enter this card into the latest MFT Sketch Challenge 454.

Supplies;
MFT Stamps - Lessons In Love
MFT Stencil - English Brick
Distress Ink - Tea Dye & Walnut Brown
Memento Ink -  London Fog
Copic Pens

Hi all,
Today I am sharing a cheery card that is made in this months Crafts Beautiful Magazine. I love that yellow makes me feel happy - maybe b'cos it reminds me of the sun! I've had these stamps for a while so I finally got around to using them...
For this card I used the Sugarpea Designs Hey Honey Stamp Set along with the Dies. I used various inks to create layered bees and stamped the bear onto coloured card. I heat embossed the sentiment and used a MFT Hexagon Background Stamp to create a subtle honeycomb paper. I also used the Sugarpea Designs Stacking Hexagons. The yellow backing honeycomb paper is from Pink Petticoat.
