Santa's Sleigh

Hi all :)
So Christmas is now less than 12 weeks away, can you believe it? Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I certainly have but then I also have my girls birthdays before so I always start early. With Christmas in mind I thought I would share a card I made using the new Mama Elephant releases...
I created the background using some distress inks. I then stamped and embossed a star background onto it. I used my MFT Die-namics Skyline Border to create the city look. I used the gorgeous Mama Elephant Stamps called Santa's Sleight and coloured them with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut out them. I was gutted I didn't have any silver wire so I had to use twine for the reins instead. I finished with a simple stamped sentiment.

I will be back soon :)

Carol Singing

 Hi all :)
Have you seen the latest release over at Lili Of The Valley? There are brand new paper pads, rubber stamps and art sheets. I am loving all the new releases especially the new Art Sheets which I couldn't wait to play with. Here is my first card...

For this card I used the Carol Singing Art Sheet which features four cute caroling critters. I used some old papers which were originally from LOTV too. I mounted everything onto red and white card. I added some ribbon, a bow and gems. I finished by adding some scrabble pieces as a sentiment. I added a load of glitter too but sadly it doesn't show up when photographed.

I will be back with my second coordinating card soon :)

Beach Life

Hi all :)
Today I am back with a colourful summer creation! I know it may seem Summer is well and truly over right now but hey, I work 6 months in advance anyway so seasons are all over the place for me always anyway! My lovely man bought me the gorgeous Beach Life Collection as a surprise so of course I had to make something with it....
For this card I used the Trimcraft Beach Life Collection. I used the decoupage pad for the topper and the paper pack for the backgrounds. I cut out the bunting from the paper and made it into a embellishment. I also added a wooden ice cream, some buttons and gems to finish.

I will be back soon :)

Harvest Thanks

Hello :)
I am back to share another one of my cards that I had fun making using some new MFT Stamps. I do love to create scenes especially with stamps. Now that the weather seems to be turning to Autumn this card is very apt right now...
For this card I used the MFT BB Fall Friends Stamps. I coloured them with Copic Pens and die cut each one with the coordinating dies. I created the sky using a MFT Cloud Stencil and some blue ink. I used some Doodlebug Papers for the background and everything was mounted onto Kraft Card.

I will be back soon :)

Let It Snow

Hi all :)
Today I am sharing a super cute winter card that I made. This is very glittery in real life but sadly glitter doesn't seem to show up too well in photographs. How cute is this squirrel....
For this card I used a Studiolight Die Cut Pad. I have got to say when I need quick and easy cards these pads are ideal. Simply pop out the shapes and play around making scenes til your heart is content. I distressed the edges with a distress tool and mounted it onto kraft card. I also added some twine, glitter and buttons. I created some dimension by popping up the die cuts onto foam pads.

I will be back soon :)

Christmas Star Plaque

Hi all :)
I had a great time at Ally Pally Craft Show over the weekend. It was lovely to go back to that show, I've not been for 6 or 7 years! I had a good time shopping for new bits and as always I ended up spending loads on Anna Marie Designs! I got lots of lovely MFT bits from there and a few other places. I had a play yesterday and came up with this xmas plaque...
For this I used a MFT Star and covered it with patterned paper. I added distress ink to the edges and added some glass glitter. I also added some leaves, tree pieces, flowers, pine cones, berries and extra embellishments. I also used a Stag Head and Wooden Sentiments.

I will be back soon :)

Thankful

Hello all :)
I have finally had a chance to have some 'me' time and get back to what I love doing - creating! All my work is complete and I have no deadlines, hurrah!! So with this in mind I couldn't help but make some cards just because, as it's been so long since that has happened! I bought some new MFT Stamps, so here is my first card with them....
I had so much fun creating this card, especially as the theme fits our current season! It can be quite werid working so many months in advance for magazine (I'm on Valentines!) so it was a refreshing change to be a bit more seasonal! I created the background using a Lawn Fawn Cover Up Die. I used the Die-namics Stitched Domes for the dome shapes and created the background with distress inks. The stamps are called Fall Friends by MFT Stamps. I coloured them with Copics and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I added some pearl to finish.

I'm off to Ally Pally tomorrow, so do say hello if you see me!

I will be back soon :)

Forever Love

Hi all :)
Today I am sharing another colourful creation. This time this one was made for Make Cards Today Magazine.
This type of card is called Cascade and to be honest I hadn't made any this style before, but once I got my head round a template it was easy! They are so much fun to decorate too. I used the free papers that came with the magazine to create this card - this also includes all the toppers and tags which coordinate perfectly! All I added was some ribbon.

I will be back tomorrow :)

I'll Stand By You

Hi all :)
I hope you had a good weekend, I spent most of it working but it's ok as I'm off next weekend and going to London for the weekend yay! I am hoping to go to Ally Pally as I haven't been for years, so do say hello if you see me. Today I am sharing a card I made for Making Cards Magazine using the free monthly download, this time it was flamingos!
I really do love these papers, I think they may be my favourite yet! I lose the subtle watercolour painted style of the flamingos - so lovely! I mounted all the papers onto peach card. I die cut the topper using a stitched circle die and mounted it onto a paper doily. I added some ribbons and lace. The sentiment is from MFT Stamps and added some hearts to finish.

I will be back tomorrow :)

I'm back...again!

Hello! I am back once again! I knew I hadn't updated my blog for a bit but I had no idea it had been this long - wow time flies. I have been very busy with work, magazine work, my coursework and of course the summer holidays. I have loads of night shifts this month at work so at least that will mean I can get my blog updated. Here is another one of my unicorn cards that was featured in PaperCrafter Magazine recently...
I have to say I do love creating these kind of backgrounds. I just love that no two are ever the same. I created the background by applying some distress ink onto acetate, spraying it with water and placing onto watercolour card. I repeat this process heat drying in between until i got the effect I wanted. I used a ton of MFT products on this card. The stamps are Magical Unicorns that are subtly coloured with Copic Markers and die cut with coordinating dies. I also used Die-namics Cloud Edges and Wonky Edge Rectangles.

I will be back soon (sooner than later this time!)
