Party Bunnies

I m loving spending some extra time with my family over the holidays so apologies my blog is being neglected at the moment. I will be back on track in January but will try and post when I get a moment - you know how it is - chaos at Christmas! I can barely even get to my desk for all the presents! Anyway today I am sharing and bright colourful shaker card that was made using Mama Elephant Stamps featured in Making Cards Magazine...
For this card I used Mama Elephant Party Animals Stamps. I coloured them Copics and cut them out. I used a MFT Sunray Stencil to create the background and brushed a little Distress Ink through the stencil to create a gentle blend. I die cut green card using MFT Grassy Edges Die then die cut white card using MFT Stitched Cloud Edges Die. I added some acetate onto a pink frame, added the sequins and assembled it all together. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn Wavy Banner Sentiments and the matching die.

Supplies;
Mama Elephant Stamps - Party Animals
MFT Dies - Stitched Rectangle Frames, Stitched Cloud Edges, Grassy Edges
Lawn Fawn Stamps & Dies - Wavy Banner Sentiments
Distress Inks - Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn
MFT Stencil - Ray of Light
Copic Markers
Sequins

I hope you all have a lovely festive break and I will be back soon as I can with more creations.

Nova Pen Review

I was sent these pens to test and review from Trimcraft. They are the new Nova Design Markers (Alcohol Ink) Pens.
I have used most brands over the years but my go to pens are normally Copics so I was keen to try these new pens. I am actually pretty impressed! I was sent the Pastel Set with 6 different colours. I can't comment on how they blend as such as there isn't colours from the same family. I used Memento Ink and my usual colouring card. The ink didn't bleed at all and was very easy to control within with the stamped lines. The ink came out really smoothly. The photo above shows the Copics at the top and the Nova Pens at the bottom. I did a one layer colour and they coverage was amazing, a nice block colour first time. I went around the centre on the green flower as and you can see you can build up a darker layer with just one pen - a great bonus! All the pens are two ends a fine bullet top and a wide broad end. I like that the pens have a grey line at the top of the pen with the fine end so you know which one is which far more easily. They are lovely to hold in your hand which makes it easier especially if you are using them for a long time.  These are fantastic if you are new to colouring and are wanting to try out alcohol pens without having to spend loads on a pack. All in all I would definitely recommend these pens and I would really love to try other packs with the same colour families so I can try out the blending colours. Well done Trimcraft another fab quality affordable product!

Magic Joy Angel

It's another dark chilly start to the week here. It's the last week before the schools break up here so I am manically trying to prepare so I will update my blog as much as I can in between. It always gets a bit neglected at Christmas as it's the only time we have a decent amount of time together as a family. Anyway... here is another card that I made for my Resist Embossing project that was featured in Crafts Beautiful Magazine...
I love these images! These angels are by MFT Stamps from the Little Angels Stamp Set. Coloured her with my Copics & cut her out. I created the background using an MFT Star Background Stamps which I heat embossed with Wow White Embossing Powder. I blended Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick Ink over the top making the outer edges darker. I added a stamped sentiment from Reverse Confetti, mounted it all onto card and added some gems to finish.

Supplies;
MFT Stamps - Little Angels, Star Background
Reverse Confetti Stamps - Seasonal Sentiments

Thanks Snow Much

Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been able to post in a while. I've been snowed under with more hospital appointments and preparing for Christmas - it's really krept up quick! Today I am sharing a quick card that was featured in Crafts Beautiful Magazine using some of their free Christmas Papers...
 For this card I used Mama Elephant Stamps - Snow Friends. It's definitely one of my favourite stamp sets this year, they're just so cute! I coloured them with my Copics and cut them out. The background is one of the papers that came free with the magazine. I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Dies to create the snow and added some litter to the edges.. I added a stamped sentiment (Can't for the life of me remember which one, but I will update when I remember! - it may be reverse confetti). I mounted the background onto glitter card for extra sparkle and some sequins to finish.

Supplies;
Mama Elephant Stamps - Snow Friends
Lawn Fawn Dies - Stitched Hillside
Memento Ink
Copic Pens
Glitter & Coloured Card
Sequins

I will be back with more creations soon :)
