Carpe Diem

Hello there :)
So now that the new issue of Making Cards Magazine is now out, I can show you my makes from the last issue. I have been itching you share these with you as they feature one of my fav things of the moment - Cactus!! Here is my first card...
I created the background of the card using some ink splodge stamps and pink ink. I also hand drew a frame around the background piece with a fine liner. All the toppers and papers used on this card are the freebie papers that came with the magazine - aren't they great? I love the little sign as you can add almost anything onto it. I chose a to stamp a sentiment onto it.

I have many more of these to share so please do pop back to see more.

Hi all :)
Today I am back to share with you a card that I made for my mum. It was her birthday and we took her out for lunch when we were on holiday as she lives that way. She loved this card...
This was quite a quick make for me as just before we went on holiday I had so many deadlines. I created this card using the gorgeous Hedgerow Collection from Craftwork Cards. All the papers, cardstock and card candi are from this kit. I created the bow using a Die-namics bow die.

I will be back tomorrow :)

Happy Easter!
I hope you are all enjoying the lovely Easter weekend break. The sun is out, although it's still a little chilly and our roast is cooking away in the oven! So today I am sharing an Easter card that I made for my good friend Anni. I think this is my first ever Easter card I've made that hasn't been for magazine or design team work....
As soon as I saw this kit I knew I had to have it. I love all the stunning realistic details of the wild flowers and wildlife. This is kit is the Meadow Kit by Craftwork Cards. Everything on this card is from the kit. I used the papers, card candi, sentiment and matching card.

You're Magical

Hello :)
Well we all know I LOVE unicorns so I am thrilled I can now share my latest unicorn project! I was asked by Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine to create three different cards using a Unicorn Stamp Set and here is the first one...
I was given the Unicorn Stamp Set by Hunkydory and off i set to work! I created the background by blending some distress inks onto watercolour card. I also spritzed on some pearls too so make it shimmer in the light. I die cut some white card to create the stitched edge clouds. The rainbow, unicorn, stars and the sentiment are all included in the stamp set. I coloured them all with Copics and fussy cut them out. I then mounted it onto some pink polka dot card and added some glitter to the stars.

I will be back soon :)

Wish You Were Here

I thought I would share my second and final card from my 'Home' project that was in last months issue of Making Cards Magazine. I really loves creating these sweet scenes with these stamps....

They are all popped up onto 3d foam pads too so they stand out. The papers are by Anna Marie Designs. I also added some pearls and some card cardi to finish.

Pop back tomorrow for another creation :)

Layering Flowers

Hi all :)
In the last issue I did my first step by step project for Craft Stamper Magazine - very exciting! I got to play with some gorgeous stamps by Hunkydory to create two floral cards. Here is the first one...
The floral stamps are Hunkydory For The Love Of Stamps Layering Flowers. All of them are stamped in memento ink, coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut out. The words were also created with Hunkydory Stamps called Lower Case Letters. These are ideal for creating any words, names or sentiments and are in a lovely watercolour style font. I also added some striped paper, a hand drawn border and some enamel dots. Sorry about the dark picture it was winter when I created this one!

I will be back soon :)

Birthday Bears

Hi all :)
I hope you all had a great weekend - wasn't the weather lovely? Hottest day of the year yesterday let's hope we have a few more of those soon! This card was made for last months Making Cards Magazine which came with these fabulous cute teddy stamps...
They really do make the cutest little cards. So for this one I used the teddy stamps that were coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut out. I also added some stickles glitter glue onto the balloon. The papers are also the free ones that came with the magazine so you really can start crafting right away. I mounted all the papers onto kraft card then stamped a sentiment and added some enamel dots.

I will be back with more cards soon :)

Special Friend

Hi all :)
I am back today with another magazine card. This time it's a floral card that was recently in Crafts Beautiful Magazine... I absolutely adore this floral range from Craftwork Cards, it's so delicate and pretty...
For this card I used the Shabby Chic Collection Kit by Craftwork Cards. Almost all the elements on this card are from the kit including papers, die cut toppers, die cut flowers and both sentiments. I mounted the topper onto a die cut scallop circle then added some pearls, paper doily, ribbon and a pearl heart to finish.

Hey There

Hi all :)
Sorry I have been missing in action for a few days. Jasmine's school has an extra week off school due to the fact the school is moving to a brand new building. We have three weeks off this month so I have been a bit preoccupied spending time with my baby girl. Today I am sharing a card from last months Making Cards Magazine, this one was made for a project showcasing the new Dreamerland Crafts Stamps...
For this card I used the Dreamerland Crafts Stamp called Friends which I coloured with my Copic Markers. I also paper pierced the girls dress with matching papers. I die cut the image using a Die-namics Stitched Scallop Circle Frame Die. The papers are a digital download from Etsy and are all scuffed up around the edges with a distress tool. I added lots of embellishments including flowers, lace, a doily, pearls and card candi. The sentiment is by Wplus9 which i stamped onto a die cut cloud.

I will be back with more creations very soon :)
