Hello, I am back today with my third & final card from my Watercolour Elephants project from Making Cards Magazine. This time i went for a cute diddy card which you could also use as tag...
For this card I used created the background with distress inks and lots of water! I then die cut the background using the Wonky Edge Rectangles. I created a slightly paler background and then die cut it using the Double Stitched Circles. The stamps are the Adorable Elephants coloured with copics. I also added some black striped card and embossed the sentiment on back card.

Tons of Fun

Hello, is it Monday already? Why does Sunday always go so fast!? I manage to get a fair bit done in the garden and also some work done too so it's not so bad. Today I thought I would share my Watercolour Elephants project that was featured in last months issue of Making Cards Magazine...
I had an absolute ball creating these cards. I have been loving the watercolour look on cards for some while now so I thought I would have a go and make some really bright ones. I am quite pleased how they turned out. I created the background using Distress Inks blended with water on watercolour card. I then die cut the piece using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics Dies. The papers were some digital papers I bought off Etsy but you could also create these with background stamps too. The elephant, sentiment and accessories are from the MFT Adorable Elephants Stamp Sets. I coloured all the elements with my Copic Markers and embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder.

I will be back tomorrow with my second card from this project :)

Duckling Nesting

Hello :)
Just a quick post from me today as I have lots of projects to get started and completed. Luckily Thursdays are usually quiet at the shop so it means I can get on with my 'other' work :)
I just thought I would share another quick card from the Ducklings project that were in Making Cards Magazine...
This card was created using the free papers that come with the magazine. I also added some lace, ribbon, button, pearls and a die cut sentiment. I had to create 9 of these, but it's not so bad when I have to keep them basic and simple. I think the images are quick sweet and ideal for spring.

I will be back soon :)

Vintage Florals Pt 1

Hello Tuesday!
Today is my day off from work so I have lots planned, mostly magazine work and housework but maybe a bit of gardening if the weather stays nice - we will see! So it's time to share a new project with you. This one is vintage florals which was made for Making Cards Magazine.
For this card I actually used the Downton Abbey CD Rom. It's got loads of images which aren't just downton themed and I do love florals at the moment so was fun to do something a bit different. The image, papers and sentiment are all from the CD Rom. I mounted everything onto kraft card and dusted the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I also added some lace, ribbon & pearls to finish.

I will be back tomorrow with my second card from this project.

On Your Birthday

Good Morning,
What a lovely Sunday it was yesterday - forecast as cold but dry but instead it was beautiful blue sky and lovely in the sunshine. We made the most of it and spent most of the afternoon in garden which was fab, we also had a lil trip to a couple of local garden centres.  I will post some pics soon.
Right on with today's card which was made for Making Cards Magazine using last months free papers, super cute ducklings...
Cute eh?! These are only ever allowed to be created using basic stash so all I added to the toppers and papers was..some ribbon, a die cut message, coloured card, pearls and a resin flower.

I will be back tomorrow with some more creations :)

Heartfelt Sympathy 2

Today I am sharing my second half of my Sympathy project from Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine. This time I teamed the kraft & white card with blue for a more pastel look...

For these cards I still had to use kraft card, stamps, embossing powder & doilies just as before. The stamps are beautiful sentiment stamps by Stampin' Up called Heartfelt Sympathy. I also used some ribbon, lace, pearls and used a lattice embossing folder for the backgrounds.

I will be back soon :)

Heartfelt Sympathy

Today I am sharing my Sympathy project from Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine. It's never an easy occasion to create for but I did get to use some lovely stamps by Stampin' Up which made it a little easier...
I was challenged to create four cards using the Stampin' Up Heartfelt Sympathy Stamp Set, Embossing Powders, Kraft Card & Doilies. These are the first two. I also used some ribbon, lace, pearls and a lattice embossing folder.

Sorry about the awful pictures, I think I must have been in a rush when I took these!

I will be back tomorrow with my other two from this project :)

Splish Splash

Good Morning!
I have a very bright and colourful card to share with you today. I am loving the on trend 'mermaids' and 'unicorns' at the moment so I decided to have a play with the new Doodlebug Under The Sea Collection...
This card is made entirely from papers & stickers! The papers are of course the Doodlebug Under The Sea Paper Pad - we are due another delivery within the next week or so, so make sure you look out for that. I also used the matching Cardstock Stickers. If you pop them up on 3d foam pads or mount them onto card you can turn them into toppers. I mounted everything onto white card for a clean look. I also used Stitched Scallop Edges, Double Stitched Circle Die-namics and a embossing folder. I added some sparkly self adhesive rhinestones to finish.

Have a lovely day :)

Watercolour Flowers

It's back to school time for my girls today - I am quite sad about this as I've loved having all the extra time with them and they have been a great help in the shop too. I thought I would share another one of my clean & simple watercolour floral cards that were made for Making Cards Magazine...
For this card I used a lattice embossing folder for the background and the image is the editors free papers that come with the magazine. I also added some twine, a pearl heart and a sentiment.

I will be back tomorrow with something bright & colourful ;)

Watercolour Poppies

Today I thought I would share a quick I made for Making Cards Magazine using the free Floral Watercolour Papers that come with the magazine. I am only allowed to use the images & papers with just a few basic items so it is always a bit of a challenge...
I actually really like these design but then I am so loving the whole watercolour look at the moment! All I added to the papers was some red card, ribbon , pearls heart embellishment and a die cut topper.

I'll be back soon :)

Hello

Hello!
Today is MFT release day which has got to be one of my fav days of the month!! I always love at least some of the release if not all of it. I couldn't wait to create something with the new releases so I have already created a quick card...
I did a fair bit of watercolouring for this card. The background panel is a watercolour effect panel I created with my Spectrum Noir Aqua Pens, I also coloured the flowers with them too. The flowers are the new Build-able Bouquet Stamps & Dies. You can also get the stamps on their own. The word is from the new Hello There Die-namics Set. I also used the Wonky Rectangles & Double Stitched Rectangles along with some gems. Sorry for the dark photo, was horrible weather this morning.

A Latte Birthday Wishes

Hello again, today I am back with my second 'Starbucks style cup card! I really did have so much fun playing with these dies, I loves them! This was featured in February's issue of Making Cards Magazine.

I pretty much used the same products for this card as yesterday's which are; Cool Cup Stamps & Dies and Double Stitched Circle Dies all by MFT available at My Mums Craft Shop. I created the background using a triangle stencil by Stamposaurus. I also added some lace and a ribbon bow. You could create a Costa style one but using red instead of green - I might try that next!

I will be back with my other card from this project.

Cool Cup Duo

Hello and sorry I haven't been around for a little bit. As usual the Easter holidays take priority which means everything else gets a bit neglected but it is so lovely so spend time with my girls. Today I am sharing a new project that was made for Making Cards Magazine. I am really pleased how these come out in the end, very Starbucks style...
So for this card I used lots of products by MFT which are available from MMCS. They are; Cool Cup Stamps & Dies and Double Stitched Circle Dies. I created the background using a triangle stencil by Stamposaurus. I also used a dot stencil on the cups. The lids were made using plain vellum for a more frosty style - you could also use acetate too. I added a couple of Enamel Dots onto the sentiment banner to finish.

I will be back with my other card from this project.
