Unicorn Hot Air Balloon

Hello Crafty Peeps,
Sorry I haven't been around for a few days - I honestly don't know where the time goes! So today I am keeping this short & sweet. Today's creation is one of my unicorn cards that were made for Making Cards Magazine...
These cards for this project are made using the freebie papers and toppers that come with the magazine. I always have to try and make them using those as the focus so I try and keep them simple and easy for all abilities to recreate. For this one I also used some circle stitched dies, flowers, gems and sentiment.

Back soon :)

Dino Birthday

Good Morning (just!),
Today I thought I would share one of my latest Polkadoodles
creations that was made for Making Cards Magazine. As many of you will know, I adore Polkadoodles collections and this one is a real corker - perfect for boys too!
How cool is this little guy with his dinosaur...just screams cute! Everything on this card is from the the Sticks & Bones Collection. I even decoupaged the main topper to make it a bit more 3d. I mounted everything onto dark brown card and added some pearls and die cut leaves.

Thank you for stopping by and will catch you all soon :)

Football Birthday Boy

Hello crafty peeps :)
Have you seen the new Rachel Ellen Collection by Trimcraft? Ok it's technically called Whiz Kids but you may know Rachel Allen Designs from giftware and cards already. We used to stock them in my gift shop and she does some amazing designs - you may recognise them from Penny Black Stamps a while back too. So here is my first card...
How cute is this little fella!? For this card I used both the 8x8 Paper Pack and 8x8 Decoupage Pad from the Whiz Kids Collection. I drew a border around the background paper with a fine line pen and added some buttons. The bunting was cut out from one of the papers and the sentiment was included in the decoupage pad.

I will be back with more soon :)

Unicorn Dreams

It's another dark and gloomy morning here today - Autumn seems to be fast approaching now. I love autumn fashion so I am all good with out, out come my boots, hurrah! So today I thought I would share my final Unicorn Card that was in Making Cards Magazine...
I really loved making this set of cards - gotta love it when it flows well together. The background was created with distress markers and water then die cut with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics Dies. The unicorns and sentiment are from the Magical Unicorns Stamp Set or you can but it with the matching dies too. I also used the Stitched Rainbow, Puffy Clouds & Scribble Circles. I added some twine, a button and some sparkle to finish.

I will be back soon with more creations :)

Bamboo Rose

Hello lovely crafters :)
I know many of you do the whole clean and simple so well but mine always end up taking me ages, mostly faffing I have to admit - does anyone else have this problem?! Anyway I decided to challenge myself to making a real CAS one layer card quickly..I did it, I did it!!!
I knew when I got my lovely new Altenew Stamps exactly what I wanted to do with them and for once it actually turned out how I wanted them to - yay! The stamps I used are Altenew Bamboo Rose. These are outline ones which are perfect for colouring and I decided to use my new Kuretake Clean Color Pens. I got my set of 48 from Amazon - they are almost half price there! Got to say I am loving them so far but I am sure as I play with them more I will try out different techniques.

Back to normal routine tomorrow, I will miss my girls like mad but I do have loads of work on to keep me busy so it's not too bad.

Gingerbread Ellie

Hello :)
Today I have some exciting news, Christine from Paper Nest Dolls asked me to Guest Design for her! I love all her cute designs so this is a real honour :) It's a shame my copic refills didn't arrive in time for this so I just had to go with what colours I had available, eek! I am hoping to get some time to do a few more, so watch this space...
For this card I used Gingerbread Ellie, I just love how adorable this image is! The papers I used are Echo Park Hello Winter. I used an old MFT Dienamics Die Dizzy Doily and Pierced Ovals. The flowers I made are from the Kori Kumi Die Set. I also added some ribbon, pearls and nuvo drops.

There are some really fab new designs over at PND so do check them out, many are available in digi and also rubber.
