Time After Time

Today i have to tell you about a fabulous new company i discovered at Newbury Artstamps Show.
They are called Visible Image and they produce their own fabulus Clear Stamps! They have lots of gorgeous stamps available and are adding more all the time so make sure you check out there website! I am such a lucky girl as i am now on there fabby Design Team - Yay!!!
So here are my first two cards i have made using the Time After Time Stamp Set

I made both of these cards using Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the backgrounds. The first one uses the Spring Set and the second is mostly Tea Dye & Antique Linen. I also made the second one glossy on the clock face and i coloured the wings with distress markers. All the stamps used on here are from the Time After Time Set apart from the background on the second one is from the Heavy Metal Set.

Ooo another thing - make sure you check out the new Visible Image Blog, they have only just launched it and have a giveaway where you can win £30 of stamps!!

Studio 12 - Simply Flowers

Hello everyone, I hope the sun is out again where you are today :)
Today i have a very simple card to show you that i made for Studio 12 - proving it doesn't always have to be complicated and take ages to create a simple yet stunning card.
I created this card using the In The Garden Collection on the Picknix Vol 1 CD.
I edited all the images in Craft Artist which is free :)
I then printed it out and added a dash of organza ribbon.
You could add layers to it by decoupaging the flowers too but i wanted to
make it more simple for a change!

Catch you all soon :)

Polkadoodles Summer Challenge

Soooo sorry for posting this so late on my blog! I blame the heat, it's made me exhausted and i'm so behind on everything at the moment, all i want to do is sleep lol! Anyway better late than never eh!
So there is a new challenge up over at Polkadoodles and the theme this week is Summer!
Here is my card i made for the challenge....
I wanted to create something that was summery but not really bold colours cos summer does involve nice muted pastels too you know! I used a fabby Emma Canning Digi called Taylor Camping Day.
The papers are from the Sundae Of Seasons CD and the sentiment is from  the Sugarplum Daisy CD.
I coloured Taylor with my Copics, cut out the Butterflies with a Cheery Lynn Die, added some lace, a doily and a few pearls. Simple but cute!

Don't forget if you do enter this week's challenge you can win the fabby Picknix CD and believe me it's so fantastic!!

'Betsy' Your A Firework

What a lovely sunny day it is today - finally summer is here even if only for a few days! Hope the sun is shinning where you are too :) Today i have a card to show you that i made for My Mum's Craft Shop featuring one of the new CC Designs Stamps... i really wish i had made my own sentiment saying 'Baby Your A Firework' as i kept singing that song whilst colouring it in...for obvious reasons ;)
So this stamp is Sweet November Betsy - shes fab isn't she and can be used for all occasions!
I coloured her with my Copics, think my colouring is getting a bit better now :)
The papers are all from the Kanban Cool Britannia Collection as is the sentiment.
I then added some Card Candi and did a bit of faux stitching around the image to make it pop.

Latest Art Journaling Page

Today i thought i would show you my latest Art Journaling page. I haven't had all that much 'me' time to do any Art Journaling but i did manage to do this page and i had sooo much fun creating this!
I did the background using my latest fav way of creating backgrounds - brayering paint!
I then used lots of stencils with the paint and used my black fineliner to highlight areas.
I coloured my SheArt stamp with Copics and cut her out and splodged her on the page!
I also added a Dylusions sentiment - love them!

Hope to see you tomorrow :)

Bella On Bauble

Sorry i didn't post yesterday, i thought i had scheduled it but i must have imagined it! Well nevermind and as Miranda Hart would say - On With The Show!! As it's now July all the Christmas stock is coming thick and fast but well we do almost have matching weather so it's acceptable ;)
Here is a card i whipped up quickly using the brand new Wild Rose Studio Stamps!
Isn't Bella just the cutest little elephant like EVER!!
This stamped is called Bella On Bauble and by far my favourite & the most popular!
I don't have many new Christmas papers which is good as i am using up my old ones! This one is one of last years Echo Park & also a sheet of last years My Minds Eye. I added some glamour dust around the edge and on the stars too! The sentiment is from a set i bought at Newbury.

You Are My Anchor

Well what a lovely day today has been - been super busy at work but even managed to get a bit of exercise today and walk back from town - yay go me, amazing what a bit of sunshine can do!
Well today i have a girly card to show you - but not in the usual pinks or purples, yes that's right it's in blues & turquiose - showing that girlie doesn't nessasarily mean pink!
This is of course one of the new A La Modes called You Anchor Me. You know how much i love my A La Modes, so i really couldn't wait to play with this beauty! I coloured her with my Copics and dusted some ink around her to blend her in a bit better - white just looked to sharp.
The papers are an old My Minds Eye Paper Pad - i am finally getting round to using my papers lol.
I then added a Cheery Lynn Swirl, a bit of lace & some flowers. The sentiment was stamped and cut with my Dienamics Flag Stax - i just rounded the edge! The wheel is from Dienamics Sea Charms.

Butterfly Girl Canvas

Hello everyone what a horrible wet day it is - well it is here on and off anyway!
Today i have a Canvas to show you that i made with my lovely Creative Expressions Stamps!
I really love doing all this inky stuff and it doesn't take long to do either, which is great for me at the moment as i am very busy behind the scenes doing all sorts at the moment!
For the background all i used was acrylic paint - in just four colours blue, lime, white & silver.
I used the brayering technique to create the background layers then used my Dylusions Stencils & Crafters Workshop Stencils to add a bit more design. I used a empty loo roll & an old credit card to create the silver cirlces & blue lines around the edge.
I then stamped directly onto the canvas with the heart flowers - i went round them with a distress marker as they didn't come out too well - i then added the Buttefly Girl made her wings all shimmery. For her skin i stamped onto an old book and paper pierced the image then i added the Sentiment.
It didn't really take long at all :)

Lots more ideas and samples to show you all over the next few days, i have been busy busy busy!

Octopode Card

I am so loving getting messy, i often now am either covered in paint or ink - both even!
After getting a load of back issues of Craft Stamper Mag at the weekend i thought i would have a go at a new technique - well new for me and here is the end result..
I love how the background came out. Basically i used acrylic paint but tried brayering with it then brayering with a layer of gesso then repeating a few times! It was soooo much fun although i literally had paint absolutely everywhere, my head and eyebrows even!!

The image is of course an Octopode Digi, the flowers are by Lavinia and the banners are a Whimsy Stamp Set that i have had for a while but never even cut it up! I printed the sentiment out and attached it with Matt Medium.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...

Vintage Mini Printer Tray

Well i promised something a bit diferent so here i am with my erm... something different project!
Here is my Vintagy Mini Printer Tray, this is my first project of this kinda style and am so pleased with how it finally turned out :)
I started out by asembling my printer tray. I then covered it with white cardstock - this is so the inks come up brighter and the chipboard doesnt eat all my ink! I then used my Distress Inks to cover the outside of the frame and the pack panel. All the stamps i used for this are by Oxford Impressions.
I then added lots of Ideaology to give it a bit of charactor & texture.
Quite a quick project to complete :)
