Street Kids Gamer

Hurrah i finally made a 'normal' me style card, although ia m starting to think i now have an 'allsorts style' rather than just cutsey, can only be a good thing though hey? So here is a mens card, yeah shock horror...but i have to say with these gorgeous Toppers they really do make it a breeze!
So i used one of the new releases Kenny K - Street Kids Toppers. Such a fun image and i am sure we all know someone this would be suitable for! The papers i used are an old Bo Bunny Paper Pad i have had for a while, but it's soo perfect for these images. I also used my Nesties to mat my image and added a dash of ribbon, some buttons, twine & black gems from my stash!

Birthday Box

Today i  have something to show you that i made a while ago but i never took a photo of it or blogged it - naughty me! Must have been in my forgetful phases that still continues at times, lol!
So yes today i have a altered Birthday Box to show you!
As soon as we had the Birthday Box Kit (be online soon) delivered at MMCS a while back i knew i had to create something with it as it was just too useful not to! It's briliant as it has file folders & printed out birthday months all included so you can put all your handmade cards in this storage box and fill out the calender with everyones birthdays so you know what you need to make - brilliant! Also a fantastic gift idea i think :)

I covered the entire box with DCWV Papers that i have had for a while - came out of a big expensive stack, foiled and stuff but sooo pretty i didnb't want to cut it up! I also covered with file folders with coordinating papers too. I painted the letters then covered them with Glossy Accents then spent ages holding it together while the glue dried, but that was it - really simple!

Demo Makes

Wow what a busy day it was yesterday! It was of course the 1st Birthday Event at MMCS! We had such a great time, was nice to see so many customers, inspire people etc. I was demonstrating Inky Messy Stuff as i like to call it.. so everything from Dylusions, Distress Inks to Pan Pastels and yes my hands were pretty black by the end of it - and still are LOL!
So here are some of the samples i made on the day...
I will be showing these in more detail this week... i just need to mount some of them onto
cards first and finish them off, but i thought you would like a sneaky peak!

I have been busy tidying my craft desk and putting everything back to normal and i even sat down and put little coded stickers on the ends of all my Copic Ciao markers so i know which ones are which, very organised now - just need more mojo and time to create!

Artful ATC's

I have discovered a new love - ATC's yes Artists Trading Cards! I love the dinky size of them, and the fact they are like mini pieces of your own creative work :)
So with that in mind i made a few ATC's using Creative Expressions Stamps...

These were all created using Dylusions Sprays & Distress Inks. The Stamps i used are Artful Ladies, Butterfly Girl, Artful Phrases & Artful Sayings - LOVE these stamps right now!

Experimenting..

I have been experimenting with my fabby new stamps that i got bought for my birthday a few weeks back - althought they only just arrived as they came from USA :) Thanks Grandpa!
Nothing exciting really i just thought i would show you all part of my experimenting!
So i used Oxford Impressions Stamps and created the background with my Dylusions.
All the stamps i used are from the Steampunk Stamp set, and that's it really!

Thanks for reading and i will be back later :)

Another Tim Holtz Tag

Here is another Altered Tag i made :) I had so much fun makin this and getting all messy in the process - i am finding the more messier everything gets the better it turns out, lol.
I have used my Distress Inks to create the background, i then used a Dotty Background Stamp and a Flourish Stamp - both from Inkylicious. I then used my Tim Holtz Sewing Room Die and embossed it with Fran.Tage Embossing Enamel and stamped over the top with a Tim Holtz Stamp. I also used a bit of Fran.Tage Glitter around the edges to make it glisten and a bit more girly :)
To finish i added a dash of ribbon & a Ideaology Metal Word.

Technologic Robots

Now have you seen all the fabby new Kaisercraft products that have been arriving at MMCS?
They have been super popular already but i luckily bagged a few bits to play with to make up some samples for our shop demo boards! Normally i hate making mens cards but these Robots make it soo easy and so much fun...
For this i used the 6.5" Technologic Paper Pad and Technologic Collectables. Now if you haven't seen the collectables before - they are a bag cram packed with die cut cardstock embellishments there is sooo many in there and in my opinion a right bargain! I also added some cardstock letters and some Card Candi and that was it! Super easy and fantastic to create with the kids too!

Tilly Tag

I just love the latest WRS charactor - Tilly! It might have something to do with the fact she looks like a puppy i used to have who was called Tilly too funnily enough!
So here is a tag i made using Tilly With Flowers...
I coloured Tilly with Copics then i went round her with little grey dots - this looks much better in real life than it shows in this picture. Just makes her stand out a bit more!
Fot the tag shape i used Dienamics Tag STAX - think these will be my most used dies! I also used the Chevron Stripes. I also added a bit of ribbon and red pearls on the flowers to finish!

Mini Canvas

Another inky project from me today, a mini cute canvas! It's only 4x4 and such a lovely size to create something quite quickly....
I made the background by using some Ink Sprays and simple painting on the colour, drying then doing more colour to build up the colour as it came out quite pale. The grass was done the same way then stamped with a polka dot stamp. The houses are a stamp by The Artistic Stamper.. i stamped and coloured them with distress markers. I drew the clouds and added sme perfect pearls then some embossing powder to make them look a bit fluffy. I then used a distress marker around the whole canvas to create a border. I managed to make this in less than 30 mins, not bad eh?

Hope you are all enjoying your evening and i wil back tomorrow :)

TH Umbrella Man Card

As i had so much fun yesterday making my Tim Holtz Tag i thought i would make a card to match the tag - well it would be rude not hey? I can hard;y believe the background started off as a white piece of card, to say i am pleased with it is an understatement!!
In the end i used the same inks as my tag - yes only 4 colours the Sping Distress Inks & also Tea Dye! I did the same technique as i did for tag and kept building up the layers until i got it like this :)
I used tons of stamps on this card too many to list but most were either Tim Holtz or Kaisercraft.
I added some Film Strip Ribbon & some other bists from the Ideaology range. The umbrella man again was embossed with Frantage embossing enamel - love how this comes out!

Tim Holtz - 1st "Proper" Tag

Today i finally managed to have a bit of me time! I got to play with lots of goodies i have bought recently but haven't had time to play with - i started out thinking I'd make a cute card then this turned into an inky tag! So here is my first proper tag - what i mean by proper is, erm.... well bascially the only tags i have made really that are this style have been just flat with sprays and a stamp over the top! This has lots more layers and embellies on, so here it is...
So i started off with a Tag, the new Spring Distress Inks (more coming to mmcs soon) and a water mist. I did swiped the inks onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and then pressed the tag into the inks. I heated the tag dry and then did this several times to create the background. I then used the Umbrella Man Die and used Frantage Embossing (on the way to mmcs). This bit looks better irl as its an assortment on silver, godl & black. I then added the sentiment, from Sam Poole's Artful Phrases. To finish i added Tea Dye ink around teh edge, drew some lines & added the lovely Tim Holtz embellies. The ribbon i dyed with inks, and i also used a few stamps around the edges, not sure which ones now as my desk is like a craft explosion!

I hope you like :)

DIY Legend

Today i have a mens card to show, it's not very often i make mens cards as i love making girly ones - they are so much easier and sooo preeety, unlike stinkly old men lol! This one i was commissioned to make for Father's Day for someone who is a DIY fanantic - so this was perfect!
I love the new Wild Rose Studio releases, they are brilliant especially these mens one like i have used here! They are very different i think and i love the papers that are made to match too!
So here i used DIY Legend Stamp & Man About Town Papers. I stamped the image in Versafine Ink and decorated the image with jewels i have had from QVC yonks ago! I also added some Dew Drops and Card Candi to finish - very simple quick and easy. Looks better in the flesh though :)

Did you all have a nice Jubilee? What did you get up to? This is what i did....
A Jubilee Canvas!!
I had a canvas A4 one sat looking at me for ages so i thought i best do something!
I decided to go all inky as i am loving that style at the moment. I used Dylusions Sprays, Claudine Hellmuth Paints & Stencils. The images are downloads from The Octopode Factory and i coloured them with Copics then went over the whole thing with Matt Medium!
I am so pleased with how it came out!
