Nova Pen Review

I was sent these pens to test and review from Trimcraft. They are the new Nova Design Markers (Alcohol Ink) Pens.

I have used most brands over the years but my go to pens are normally Copics so I was keen to try these new pens. I am actually pretty impressed! I was sent the Pastel Set with 6 different colours. I can't comment on how they blend as such as there isn't colours from the same family. I used Memento Ink and my usual colouring card. The ink didn't bleed at all and was very easy to control within with the stamped lines. The ink came out really smoothly. The photo above shows the Copics at the top and the Nova Pens at the bottom. I did a one layer colour and they coverage was amazing, a nice block colour first time. I went around the centre on the green flower as and you can see you can build up a darker layer with just one pen - a great bonus! All the pens are two ends a fine bullet top and a wide broad end. I like that the pens have a grey line at the top of the pen with the fine end so you know which one is which far more easily. They are lovely to hold in your hand which makes it easier especially if you are using them for a long time.  These are fantastic if you are new to colouring and are wanting to try out alcohol pens without having to spend loads on a pack. All in all I would definitely recommend these pens and I would really love to try other packs with the same colour families so I can try out the blending colours. Well done Trimcraft another fab quality affordable product!

Sweet Moments

 Hello,

I have been pretty busy creating lots of cards lately. I am loving all the new CHA releases and I think Spring is my favourite season to create cards for. I love all the pastel tones and super cute images. Today I have three cards to share using the Dovecraft Sweet Moments Collection...

 I needed to create a few cards for my box that were quick to put together and thee were perfect. I love all the pastel colours. I used the Sweet Moments Decoupage Pad along with the matching Paper Pack. I mounted everything onto light kraft card - the perfect companion for pastel colours! I added some ribbons, pearls and flowers to finish them off.

Trio of Christmas Village

 Hi,

Today I am sharing a trio of cards that were made for Make It Today Magazine. I got to play with some gorgeous new products from the latest Trimcraft collection...

All three cards were made using the Helz Cuppleditch Christmas Village Collection which is available now. I used the Paper Pack, Die & Stamp Set, Toppers, Stickers and Pearls. I mounted everything onto kraft card. I added some gems and ribbons too.

Beach Friends

Hi all :)

Today I am sharing another of my creations using the Beach Life Collection by Trimcraft. I know it's not summer anymore but I am still squeezing a few different seasons here and there with my cards...

For this card I used the Beach Life Decoupage Pad and Paper Pack. I mounted the papers onto white card and added the topper onto a white doily. I cut out the shell and starfish from the paper and added it onto the side of the topper. I added some pink gingham ribbon and added a button to the bow centre. I added a coordinating foil sentiment and finished with some gems.

Beach Life

Hi all :)

Today I am back with a colourful summer creation! I know it may seem Summer is well and truly over right now but hey, I work 6 months in advance anyway so seasons are all over the place for me always anyway! My lovely man bought me the gorgeous Beach Life Collection as a surprise so of course I had to make something with it....

For this card I used the Trimcraft Beach Life Collection. I used the decoupage pad for the topper and the paper pack for the backgrounds. I cut out the bunting from the paper and made it into a embellishment. I also added a wooden ice cream, some buttons and gems to finish.

Couture Du Jour

Hi all :) 

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Couture Du Jour Collection from Trimcraft. It's perfect for girly cards and packed full of pretty floral papers and decoupage...

I used the Couture Du Jour Papers and Decoupage Pad. I mounted all the papers onto some caramel card. I also added a doily, some flowers, ribbons and pearls to finish.

This collection is currently on offer in The Range too :)

Hi all :) 

I just realised I haven't shared my other cards from my Kiss & Make Up project in Quick Cards Magazine, so here is another one of my cards. Such a cute fun collection to work with, well done Trimcraft! 

For this card I used the Kiss & Make Up 12x12 Paper Pack, Washi Tape, Gems, Dies and Stamps. I also embossed a die cut circle panel using a heart embossing folder. I mounted everything onto black and pink card to give a striking finish.

Today I am sharing a quick card I made for Quick Cards Made Easy. This is just one of the four I made for the Make Up themed project I did for the last issue. Here is card one...

 

This gorgeous range is called Kiss & Make Up by Dovecraft/Trimcraft. I adore this funky range, it's perfect for teens and girly girls. For this card I used the 12x12 Papers along with the chipboards, gems and washi tape. The lipsticks were cut out of one of the papers and popped onto foam pads as an embellishment.

Magical Birthday Wishes

Hello :) 

Sorry I have been missing in action for a few days. I have had a lot of urgent rush work come through so that is taking up a lot of my time this week. It's a horrible wet day today, literally chucking it down here so perfect weather for crafting, of course! Today I am sharing a card I made for my friends daughter - for her to give her for her 6th birthday....

For this card I used the Whiz Kids Collection - the decoupage pad and matching paper pack. I cut out the bunting from the background paper to use as an embellishment. I mounted everything onto white card. I also added a die cut number 6 and some rhinestone clusters.

Baking Gingerbread

Today I thought I would share my second card from my Dear Santa project that was in last months Making Cards Magazine. How sweet are these images....

For this card I used the Dear Santa Collection by Trimcraft. I used the paper pack , decoupage pad, ribbons and wooden embellishments. I mounted all the papers onto kraft card. I also added a die cut sentiment and some pearls to finish.

Tree Decorating

I can't believe this time next week it will be Christmas Eve! It seems like it has all of a sudden just crept up on us all. I still have a few Christmas creations to share with you so here is another. This one was made for Making Cards Magazine....

For this card I have used the latest Dear Santa Collection by Trimcraft. I used the paper pack, decoupage pad and also the garland flags. I mounted all the papers onto kraft card. I also added some lace, ribbon, a bow, some gems, a sentiment and pearls.

Ahoy Matey!

Today I am sharing one of my latest creations from last months Making Cards Magazine. I got to use one of my favourite ranges of the moment - Whiz Kidz Collection by Trimcraft. I just love these cuties....

I used the Decoupage Pad & Paper Pack from Whiz Kidz. I used a fine line pen to hand draw some fun borders around the papers instead of mounting them. The green fringe is a Die-namics Die called Chevron Fringe.  I also added some buttons too, simples eh?!

Magical Birthday Wishes

It's Monday so back to normal for me and today I have been super busy as always with commissions! I thought I would show you one of my latest cards using the new Whiz Kids Collection from Trimcraft...

This has got to be one of my favourite ever Trimcraft ranges, i love the images, the bright colours and fun patterns. For this I used the Whiz Kids Paper Pack & Decoupage Pad. I also added a die cut circle along with a fringe border die and rhinestones.

Football Birthday Boy

Hello crafty peeps :) 

Have you seen the new Rachel Ellen Collection by Trimcraft? Ok it's technically called Whiz Kids but you may know Rachel Allen Designs from giftware and cards already. We used to stock them in my gift shop and she does some amazing designs - you may recognise them from Penny Black Stamps a while back too. So here is my first card...

How cute is this little fella!? For this card I used both the 8x8 Paper Pack and 8x8 Decoupage Pad from the Whiz Kids Collection. I drew a border around the background paper with a fine line pen and added some buttons. The bunting was cut out from one of the papers and the sentiment was included in the decoupage pad.

Sweet Shoppe Part 2

 Good Morning! It's the end of the week and the end of the Easter Holidays which means back to school next week for the kiddies & normal routine. I've loved spending some extra time with my girls so I shall miss them when they are back at school. It's not long until the next bank holiday & half term so it's not so bad. So as promised here is my second two Me To You Cards....

I used pretty much the same products as the first two cards which are; Me To You Sweet Shoppe Decoupage Pad & Paper Pad. I also used lace, ribbon, buttons and self adhesive pearls. These were nice and easy ones - perfect when you just want something easy to put together without stress.

Sweet Shoppe

It's time to share with you my latest Me To You project that was recently featured in Making Cards Magazine. I have always been an avid Me To You fan and I love the latest collection just as much as the others. Here is the first two made using Me To You Sweet Shoppe...

 Both of these cards were made using the Me To You Sweet Shoppe Decoupage Pad & Paper Pack. I mounted everything onto white card and also added some ribbon, lace, pearls & buttons.

Woodland Christmas Wishes

Good Morning,

Today I am sharing my third and final card from my Winter Woodland project. All these cards were made for my monthly project in Crafts Beautiful Magazine.

For this card I used the Winter Woodland Decoupage Pad & Paper Pad by Trimcraft. I mounted the papers onto red card and the middle piece onto a square shaped doily - I love them! I also added the ribbon, a button and a die cut sentiment. These were very quick simple makes as always for this project and the topper says it all really - so 3d and glittery, perfect for winter.

Warm Wishes Fox

I am back with my second card from my Winter Woodland project that was in Crafts Beautiful Magazine. Another cute Christmas fo - just so cute. These are really glittery in real life too so ideal for Christmas, I love them - can  you tell? 

For this card I used the Winter Woodland Decoupage Pad & Paper Pad and mounted everything onto grey card. I also added some ribbon, resin flower, self adhesive pearls and a die cut message.

Winter Woodland

Well now that Halloween and been and gone I guess I better get on with sharing my Christmas projects and I have LOADS to share over the next month or so :) Can't believe it's already November really must get my presents bought and sorted, panic!!! So today I'm sharing one of my cards from my Christmas Woodland project that were made for Crafts Beautiful Magazine.

How cute is that fox and hedgehog. I love anything woodland related so I absolutely adore these! I used the Winter Woodland 8x8 Decoupage and Paper Pad both by Trimcraft. I mounted everything onto kraft card and added some gems and ribbon - a very simple & quick make!

Birthday Wishes

I am back as promised with my other Me To You Tiny Tatty Teddy Card as featured in Making Cards Magazine. I just LOVE making these cuties, decoupage is rather relaxing especially in front of the tv with a nice big tea! So here is my boys version...

For this card I used the Tiny Tatty Teddy Decoupage Pad along wit the matching 6x6 Paper Pad. I matted everything onto Kraft Card and the sentiment is by Clearly Besotted. I punched some stars from kraft card and added some ribbon, button and some gems.
