Butterfly Thanks

Good morning! Today I am sharing a bright and colourful card using one of my favourite ever stencil layering sets from Taylored Expressions...

For this card I used Taylored Expressions Butterflies Stamp & Stencil Set. I stamped the background in black ink. I used Distress Oxide Inks to create the rainbow with the stencil using Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Salvaged Patina. I love that they blend so well you don't need all those different colours to create this effect. I used my favourite sentiment die - Birch Press Design Sugar Script Thanks. I mounted some white card onto black card then striped paper. I fixed my sentiment on top, glued it onto the card and added some pearls to finish. This card also featured in Crafts Beautiful Magazine.

Miss You

Good morning! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I often go a bit quiet in December but I will post as and when I can. Can't believe it's only two weeks until Christmas it's flown by! Today I am sharing one of my cards that was made for my Full Shaker Panel project...

This one was featured in Crafts Beautiful along with another two cards. I had so much fun creating these! I created the background first. I used the Taylored Expressions Butterflies Stamp & Stencil Combo. I used various Distress Oxide Inks (Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Salvaged Patina) to create a rainbow effect background. I scored and wrapped some acetate around the background and filled it with gems, sequins and pearls before sealing it shut. I mounted it onto blue card and onto a card blank. I used my favourite sentiment stamps the Concord & 9th Big On You Stamps & Die Set to add the sentiments.

Miss You

Good morning crafty friends. So sorry I have been MIA for a little while. My health hasn't been too good so crafting had to take a back seat. I have been shopping for new products though so I have lots to create with! First up a rainbow butterly card, I have been after this set for ages so I'm so glad I finally got my hands on it...

For this card I used the Taylored Expressions Butterflies Stamp & Stencil Combo. Firstly I stamped the butterfly body with black ink. I used my Distress Oxide Inks to create the blended background. The colours I used were Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron & Salvaged Patina. I added a strip of striped card along with thin strips of black card at the top & bottom. I used my Concord & 9th Big On You Stamp Set to create the big Miss You sentiment and smaller strip then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

When It Rains...

Hi everyone! It's a horrible wet weather day here today so I thought I would post this very apt card for today! I love rainbows...

For this card I used some of the great new products from Taylored Expressions. I used the Over The Rainbow Die complete with the Rainbow Cloud Duo Dies. I used the Over The Rainbow Sentiments to create the stamped sentiment. I also used the Over The Rainbow Stamps to create the patterned pieces inbetween the rainbow arches. I created the blended background using a little Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink and my MFT Scatterned Raindrops Stencil to add a little detail.  I finished by adding some sequins.

Birthday Llamas

Hi all,

Today I am sharing a fun card I made for Crafts Beautiful Magazine. This was for this months Expert Feature which I did on Masking with Stamps...

This card was definitely a labour of love but once I had the masks cut out it all came together easy. Remember once you have created a mask you can put it in with your stamp set then it's ready to use next time. For this card I used Taylored Expressions Look Who's Talking Stamp Set. I coloured them with Copics. I kept the background simple to show the technique. The sentiment is also from the stamp set.

Feel Better Soon

Well that is the weekend gone again and it's February already..gosh where does the time go?! This does mean I really must get on with lots of my work before I get behind again. I did manage to get a little bit of time to create this quick cute card using my lovely new Taylored Expressions Stamps...

How cute are these lil babies? I haven't really got much get well soon crafty stuff so when I saw these I had to get them right away. They are Souper Soon Stamp & Die Set by Taylored Expressions. I also used a 6x6 paper pad by Taylored Expressions called Rainbow Brights. I also used my new Lil Inker Stitched Background die along with a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
