Hello Bird

I am back fighting fit once again and back to blogging, hurrah! I have missed it and missed being my usual crafty self. Last night as some of you may have seen on Instagram/Facebook i was playing with my new Tim Holtz Bird Stamps...i love these funky birds, very angry birds! I got a bit inky & covered in foil too and here is the result...
I wanted to keep it simple but with a splash of colour and am quite pleased how it turned out.  I created the background using my new Spectrum Aqua Pens and water. I added lots of gold foiling and a hello sentiment from Winne & Walter. The birds by Tim Holtz were watercoloured too.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges...
Lisa B Designs - Inked Backgrounds
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wed - Anything Goes
Simon Says Mon - No Rules

Hope you are having a weekend and I will catch up with you soon.

Celebrate

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you have all had a lovely weekend so far. Today I will be crafting after doing some boring old housework! Last night I found some new papers over at Pink Petticoat and wanted to use them right away. It was rather late so it was a super quick clean & simple card...
So the papers are of course from Pink Petticoat. I used my new Die-namics Inside Out Stitched Rectangle STAX and also Pierced Oval STAX. The sentiment is from a new Tim Holtz Stamp Set full of scripty sentiments, love them! I just added some twine and a pearl to finish. It is also all popped up on 3d foam pads for a bit of extra dimension.

I would like to enter the following challenges...
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Use A Die
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goe

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back soon :)

Thank You Teacher

Today I am sharing a card I made a while back for Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine. This was actually for a teachers thank you card but you could change the sentiment to good luck on your first day of school or anything really!
I can't for the life of me think of which papers exactly I used but I am sure it's Echo Park. The letters are MFT Dienamics By The Letters and the teacher is hand written. The border is Die-namics Boy Meets Girl which I thhink has now been discontinued. I tied some ribbon around the pencil as a cute embellisment. I also added some buttons & a hand drawn border to create a kind of chalkboard.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges...
Papertake Weekly - Bingo (Ribbon, Die Cut & Buttons)
Crafty Boots - Use A Sentiment
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes

I will be back with more creations soon :)

Geek Chic

It's finally Friday, this week has gone so quick and yet I don't really know what I have managed to get done - not a lot really, so roll on next week & back to normal. Today I am sharing my latest card that I made this afternoon while the girls were crafting away next to me...
I of course had to use my fav colour combo of the moment - Yellow, Grey & Black! I have had these MFT Stamps & Dies kicking around for a while but as usual they got hidden on my desk and I forgot about them! I created the background using a stencil, brush and black ink. The papers are by Kaisercraft. I die cut the Geek Is Chic Glasses from black card and coated them in Sakura 3D Glue for a lovely glossy effect. I also used the matching Geek Is Chic Stamps and added some Doodlebug Enamel Dots to finish. All these products are available from My Mums Craft Shop.

Super Duper

Today I have another clean & simple card to share with you - am loving this style at the moment! This time I used some of my brand new Mama Elephant Stamps, available at My Mums Craft Shop - they are just the cutest stamps ever.
Sorry the photo isn't too great, it is very dark here and I have been trying all day to get a decent picture this was the best I could do unfortunately. So for this card i created the background using my Distress Inks. The stars & borders are by Winnie & Walter Stamps. I stamped up my Tiny Heroes girl, coloured her with Copics & fussy cut her out. The sentiment is also by Mama Elephant and included on the Tiny Heroes Stamp Set.

I will be back soon with more creations.

Thinking Of You

So half term has begun which means chaos in my world!! I actually started out the week by clearing out Jazzy's room, I got another storage unit for her room from Ikea so now it's jam packed full of stuff! I did manage to get a bit of crafty time once she was in bed to create this super simple card.
For this clean and simple card I used my WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals Stamps & Dies. I love these stamps so much as there is so much you can do with them. I love creating my own little floral arrangements. The background is my Lil Inker Stitched Background Die which I am loving at the moment. I stamped the sentiment in grey ink and popped it onto 3d foam pads.

Happy Valentines Day Smooch

This is a quick post for me as it's pretty late & I've been up since 5am! I am back to share with you another quick make that I've made with my lovely Smooches Stamps by Lil Inker Designs.
So for this card I used the Lil Inker Smooches Stamp Set which also includes the sentiment. I used various inks from My Favorite Things along with some brush strokes stamps by mft too. I simply drew a border around the card and added some dots with the end of my paintbrush. Simples.

I hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day, we didn't do much as i'm not overly keen on it all but we nip out for lunch & did a bit of shopping.

I will be back soon with more creations.

XOXO

Today I have a quick card that I made with my brand new Lil Inker Stamps. These are exactly what I envisioned to create when I bought these stamps...happy times, love it when a plan comes to er... plan :)
It's very unusual for me to create a one layer card, although I am liking clean & simple more and more at the moment. I used the Lil Inker Smooches Stamp Set. I stamped them all up using my MFT Dye Inks & Memento Inks. I used the end of a paintbrush to create the little dots.

Bright & Bold

Hello everyone and sorry I haven't been around for a few days, it's been a pretty mad week. We are off to exhibit at a craft show in Portsmouth so we have already been busy packing up the van etc. Today I am sharing a project made for Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine. I was set the challenge of creating Neon cards - not really a theme I would normally do but I loved it in the end. Here are the first two...
Very bright & funky. I love the patterns on them, some of them are very 80's! I used the Highline Collection by Basic Grey and also used a whole heap of Die-namics including Hybrid Rose, Dizzy Doily, Leafy Flourish, Retro Border & Dainty Bows.  The bold sentiments are also by My Favorite Things. All the products are available at My Mums Craft Shop. I mounted everything onto black card to make all the colours pop!

I will be back soon with my other two cards from this project :)

Hope you all have a fab weekend.

I am back with my two other inky cards today. Apologies for not posting these yesterday but in my defense I was super busy last night creating another project which I can't share just yet but will do soon! So is the other two cards made for Crafts Beautiful from my inky & quirky Alice In Wonderland project...
Both of these cards were created using The Octopode Factory Images. I coloured all of them up using my Copic Markers. All the backgrounds were created by me using Dylusions Ink Sprays and a bit of Distress Inks around the edges. I matted everything onto pale Kraft Card.

Don't forget to enter my Giveaway, it ends this week!
